good evening, patrick. i mean, you see the radicalization of inmates in our prisons going unchecked. how is it that we even select and do we supervise muslim religious service providers. >> well, that's a problem that's been going on for years ever since 9/11 when we found out that there was a stream of radical clergy, islamic clergy within the prison system. since that time, we have never been able to come to an agreement as to how to certify or select islamic clergy. >> all right. so there's a certification if you're a catholic chaplain or if you're a pastor or a rabbi. but no certification to assess whether or not you're arn imam. >> that's correct. >> so anybody can come in and say i'm an imam. >> that's correct. >> wow. >>> and they have access to the prisoners. is it always in english? or could it be in arabic? >> oh, no, if you're going to be a true follower of allah, then you've got to learn how to read the koran in arabic. many of them have taught arabic classes to the inmates besides the koran. >>
