paul: when you have president biden, most people saying he is too old to run, there's no attempt by democrats to marshal any opposition, how do you explain that disconnect in the democratic party? >> very hard. to be an incumbent sitting president who can raise a lot of money, still has a reasonable amount of popularity with democrats. we saw in 1980, when jimmy carter was vulnerable, ted kennedy, an incumbent president has resources to marshal and garner votes that are hard for any challenger. no matter who the person may be. paul: that argues against any individual democrat, but what about a delegation of governors or senior statesmen saying look, mr. president, we need you to step down. you've done great in history, it will be historic president, you beat donald trump, etc. but four more years we risk losing it. >> with the polls now showing the race even, the real clear politics average has biden i have to awful 1% ahead, don't think that is likely to happen. that scenario will happen or could happen if president biden falls well behind trump. biden's greatest asset is trump's own high negative rati
