cnn's paula newton has more. paula? >> reporter: canadian officials opened an investigation into at least four teenagers that have left the country to join isis. the trail has gone cold in turkey, but they have open investigations and there may be more than four that somehow became radicalized. families did reach out to authorities. that's how they first became aware that these people had left sometime in january. they were reported missing. some attending a community college in montreal. that community college has now suspended one muslim group that they say is responsible for spreading hate speech and some really candid comments from security officials here saying they see the problem of radicalization here only growing and they need to continue to rely on those families to see the early warning signs of that ra radicalization. the canada government aggressive in revoking passports they believe are trying to travel to these areas to join isis. without fair warning ahead of time, it's impossible to really stop them. pa
