so like greg abbott or ken paxton or whoever isn't out there enforcing the law. anybody living in the country can sue anybody in texas for providing or aiding or abetting abortion services and if they win that lawsuit they get $10,000. that is a private civil action. that's the only enforcement mechanism for the texas law. well, that can cut both ways. and if democrats are willing to get creative about it and if joe biden is willing to do everything necessary to protect women in texas, well, guess who has qualified immunity from civil lawsuits? so what biden needs to do is create a federal force of doctors protected, clothed in the protection of the state, which would protect them through qualified immunity from private civil actions. send them to texas to counsel and protect women's privacy rights and if they want to provide some medical procedures in the course of protecting people's constitutional rights, they can do that as well. now, we have something called -- when you say congress can do nothing, let's point out in the current budget reconciliation, there'

attorney general filed a lawsuit for violating the state's ban on mandates and the courts sided with paxton code. >> joining us the paris isd spokesperson and attorney. thanks for joining us. what went into the decision to put this in the dress code and what is the reaction for parents here? >> well, there's always some parents who dislike every dress code. and there are many who are very favorable to it. and we have been very successful in implementing it and the adherence is terrific so far. so it is nothing anyone wants, but so far, the numbers in our school district, in paris, have been among the lowest in the state, for absences due to covid. so we believe it's been very successful so far. >> a federal judge in florida has left governor desantis's statewide ban on masks intact. do you believe there will be more rulings on that? and there will be a court decision on putting the order in place. does that outcome concern you? >> it really doesn't. first of all, our attorney general last year argued in front of the texas supreme court that he has no authority to actually have standing to g
