peggy fox is in court for alecia schmuhl's bond hearing today. >> reporter: the commonwealth attorney calls it a torture session. he says andrew schmuhl and his wife retaliated against her dismissal from a law firm. holding the managing partner of the law firm and his wife hostage for hours and stabbing them multiple times. it started with a knock at the door sunday night at this mclean hope. police say 31-year-old andrew schmuhl forced his way inside and then tased, handcuffed and reportedly stabbed the homeowners, leo fisher and his wife striking mr. fisher in his head, neck and shoulders. fisher is a managing partner at one of the largest law firms in northern virginia. >> thank god they're alive. >> reporter: commonwealth attorney ray morrogh argued against giving alecia schmuhl bond today. >> we took the position she's a danger to the community and we were grateful to the many members of the firm involved present in court were also grateful. >> reporter: he said she was seen stand is outside with her husband before the attack and then drove the get-away car after the victims trig

that's where we find peggy fox live now with the latest. what happened, peg? >> reporter: well, prince george's county police do not confirm that it was the son who allegedly shot his mother, but people close to the investigation say that's exactly what happened. it also started here at these apartments on prince place near prince george's county community college. it happened around 12:30 and why would a son shoot his mother? neighbors here say they have no idea, but they do tell us the woman shot was extremely friendly and talkative. they did not see the son very much. that 911 call went out, police came and witnesses say that the suspect was visibly upset and was sick to his stomach. >> when they arrived on scene, they discovered a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wound. that victim was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. after a brief canvas of the area the suspect was apprehended, taken into custody. >> reporter: they caught the suspect about a 1/4-mile away from the shooting scene near the grounds of prince george's cou

. >> and i'm peggy bunker. there are a lot of questions why a small plane crashed near gilroy, dilling two people. this took off from frazier lake sky park yesterday. it was reported missing when it did not return last night. marianne favro is at the sky park. when is the ntsb going to show up? >> well, the ntsb investigators will show up here starting tomorrow morning, peggy. i can tell you that this tight knit community of pilots is now mourning the loss of a dear friend. the plane took off around noon yesterday from frazier lake air park southeast of gilroy. investigators say it crashed just a few miles away, off canada road. both passengers were killed. the santa clara county sheriff's department confirms one victim is a woman from san jose, the other a man from gilroy. >> i know them, yeah. it's kind of hard. i mean especially when you have a passenger and you have the responsibility. >> reporter: the plane that crash is a 1950 cessna 140-a, similar to the plane you see here. this pilot has been using this
