. >>> new information now, a fire at a recycling plant at a peninsular that caused some serious air qualityues and it is now being deemed suspicious. janine de la vega joins us from redwood city and you are there where the fire started, what are saying now? >> reporter: well, the fire broke out and you can see operations have already begun for the day and police and fire officials believe that fire was deliberately set. the fire marshall along with police detectives have reviewed the surveillance videos taken from multiple cameras. the fire broke out in a stockpile of recyclingables. they combed through evidence and have not revealed if there was any evidence they were looking for. it traveled to morgan hill with a shelter in place advisory because of it and at this time authorities are not linking that in december and because they happened within weeks of that it raised concerns and a manager had recently asked them to keep three qualified staff members on for a two month period. later on they will be reaching out to talk about this and i have left it there and they believe it was arson. >

at least the way i think the united states policymakers have come to see china's role to the peninsular debates has grown. there is a growing sense that china has a major role to play here. what are your thoughts on the north korea-china relationship and china's potential role in terms ofnegative a potential conflict on the peninsula? >> again, i don't think it has changed much. i think that china's role in north korea has been one of, for lack of a better word, providing those assets, resources necessary to keep the regime in power. that has been done over time. now it is almost like a family have onehip, that you of your family who is dysfunctional, they are still part of the family. north korea is a dysfunctional kid but the fact of the matter is, china is supporting them. they may not like the activities. they have taken steps to try to stifle some of the activities, nuclear for example, missile test for example. in some cases, they have probably been successful. in most cases, they have not been. china can play a very critical modifying the behavior of north korea. this point, i do
