but first if you're getting out the door right now, we're looking at areas of the pennsylvania turnpikension, 202 there, the boulevard, i-95. not saying every way along this stretch is flooded, but give yourself some extra time. you don't want to be in a rush with this. that continues through tonight. then we have the minor to moderate coastal flooding and then moderate to potentially major here by the time we get into saturday morning. so that's really a concern there. and as you can see the high tide times we're concerned about here are 7:15 to 8:15 this morning. then 7:45 to 8:45 tonight and finally to 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. that's a big deal. >> this is complex, but i want you to keep it simple so even i can understand three parts of this. heavy rain, coastal flooding, snow, right? >> and high winds. >> thanks so much. and let's talk about the roads because we've had multiple crashes already this morning. and now is about the time it really picks up. and we have a crash on 95 in delaware to talk about. >> katey zachary, bring us up to speed. >>> it's in the northbound direction and rig

in conshohocken at the blue route, 476, northbound lanes right here heading up toward the pennsylvania turnpike the northbound northeast extension there was a crash overnight near lansdale but that's now gone. and this is a look at the turnpike itself over top route 100 here in uwchlan township. this is the turnpike right here and at this point all these highways are just wet. once you get to the shoulders definitely the grassy surfaces you are seeing some snow but the main lanes of the highway are just wet. same is true here in south philadelphia along i-95. you might recognize the big utz tow potato chip sign. the lanes of 95 are passable but just wet but you have to keep those speeds down and as the day progresses we expect those roads to become snow covered. right now that's not the case. problems continue in pennsauken. pretty big problems with downed wires blocking 73 southbound at 130 coming off the tacony-palmyra bridge northbound just one lane barely squeezes by. in brooklawn you have more flooding this morning along 130 so just one lane getting by in each direction there by the brookl

i do want to take another look at the pennsylvania turnpike. drive times are still looking good despite new information we got there was a crash between fort washington and norristown. >>> let's take a look at the conditions outside right now. brit 19 just said heavy rain over philadelphia right now, and then we'll really be watching for the wind, which we usually see the flag there. >> randy, tell us how things are looking there in center city. >> reporter: yeah, the rain continues to fall. it's been falling for hours now. a mix between some heavy, a bit lighter right now. but we're keeping an eye above us, on the trees here in rittenhouse square. that expected heavy wind also causing concern for the many construction crews working in and around town. the city has been warning construction company tuesday secure their sites because equipment, scaffolder, fencing, all that could go flying later today and tomorrow. some crews already scaling back. we also caught up with peco who's keeping an eye on the power lines. >> if it's safe our crews are

we're on the westbound pennsylvania turnpike. and the road conditions have dramatically improved.out 10 minutes ago, we were on the transition from i-95 south to the pennsylvania turnpike. and it was like driving on a road full of potholes. the road had completely frozen. and it was so uneven, it was like driving on a potholed road. you can see there is this penndot and turnpike snowplow doing its work right in front of us. we've seen those up and down the turnpike. it's good that the traffic is so light. because these plows, they're able to break up that ice on the roadway and push it out of the way, keeping the road clear. but we are starting to see some freezing. still, those speed restrictions, just 45 miles per hour on our major interstates, i-95, 76, 476, and of course the turn pipes, guys. >> good to see the crews getting out there. and we want to make a note too. when you look at the picture, it seems the crew is moving a lot faster. the wide angle lens has that effect. >> and notice that our truck is keeping a nice distance between itself and the work crews. you should do

the exception once again north of the pennsylvania turnpike once you move toward the lehigh tunnel especiallyching out for that heavy snow it's out of here by saturday. but we're still stuck with the gusty winds. by 10:00 a.m. those winds gusting over 30 miles per hour. 30 to 40 even 58 miles per hour winds parts of south jersey by tomorrow afternoon. and then take a lock at tomorrow evening. gusts over 60 miles per hour so power outages a good likelihood not om down the shore. the poconos but even toward the i-95 corridor. we'll have to watch out for that. also, the snow, we're talking over half a foot likely toward sections of the poconos. a few wet makes will mix in once we move toward philadelphia and interior south jersey. temperatures in the seven day forecast 44 degrees the high temperature tomorrow. um per 40s for the weekend but wind chills will be in the 30s when you factor in the breezy conditions for the upcoming weekend. so marcuming in like a lion. then by the middle of next week, chilly conditions with wet weather. maybe more wet snow. tom, over to you. >> scott, the calendar d

here along the pennsylvania turnpike. i-95 points north it's snow from start to finish. either side of i-95 there is say battle zone at times of wet snow, sleet and even rain and mainly rain in the far southern areas of new jersey as well as delaware. in fact we highlight the area along i-95. really a difference over 35 miles from norristown to williamstown. there could be a 10 inch difference in the amounts of snow over the very small amount of real estate and it all depends on how much sleet and rain mixes in with the snow. and that is still the biggest question with the storm. >> it's along i-95 does is it stay snow or flip over for an ex extended period of time. the wins are another issue, gusting 45 to 55 philadelphia to the east. 35 to 45 in the heavy snow zones to the northern and west and that creates more power outages. unfortunately as we step forward into the day on wednesday. what to expect here overall tonight into the day on wednesday. the snow is heavy and wet no matter where it falls. it will be hard to shovel and remove given the weight and the amount of

pennsylvania have been declared states of emergency. dylan dreyer is in the middle of it. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, hoda. we're heading north on the new jersey turnpike.ve seen a mix of rain and snow. the roads are just wet. that's all going to change by mid-morning as the storm strengthens. this is the second nor'easter to hit this area in less than a week. that has residents very worried because they're still cleaning up from the last storm. more downed trees and power lines are possible with wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour. some people have just gotten their power back. and others still don't have it yet. and now, they're more concerned because they don't know when they'll get power because of the next round of rain and snow. whiteout conditions are possible. as al mentioned, snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour will reduce visibility. judging by the roads, it seems like a lot of people have decided to stay home because there's not a lot of traffic. that is good news because are states of emergency in effect for pennsylvania and new jersey. and people are being urged to use caution across the northeast. >>> trump says he make a decision on a
