that is a key there, just because of that meeting, because the context we know about perry.o point out a couple of other things we saw in hutchinson's testimony but also several other key players. hutchinson now we're starting to see that disconnect between her and her trump-backed lawyer. this is playing out in the transcripts. the two are bickering, you're seeing her loyalties are shifting at a certain point. he's stopping her. she's trying to talk over here. that's one key part. the other thing i noticed is something she mentioned about meadows telling her and several other white house aides not to essentially put down all the meetings that were happening in the oval office, to keep a close hold. she situation she's not sure exactly what that meant but likely meant they weren't showing up until the oval office diary. this goes to the same thing about the documents. all of this is a record for the reason. it's the president of the united states. now, the last part of all of these testimonies that i thought was most interesting was, one, hutchinson talking about the rise of

. >> so this is all happening, kat katelyn as they've tried to get scott perry's text messages. tell us about that. >> reporter: right. well, one of the things that the house select committee was trying to do was they really wanted to get phone records for people that were very close to the president after january 6th or around the election. one of those people was mark meadows, the white house chief of staff at the time. made does was in touch with lots of people and publicly we have seen meadows was in touch with people like representative scott perry, a republican from pennsylvania. we know the justice department investigation took an interest into scott perry and his phone, particularly this summer. there was a search and seizure done around him and then after that, cnn has been able to confirm that there was a confidential proceeding in court in this fall where the justice department was pursuing data from scott perry's phone. we know he was the type of person around trump who was not just in touch with meadows, but he was interested in getting in touch with lots of people

today giants legend gaylord perry has passed away.pitchers in the team's history. perry had a long career that stretched across 22 seasons, winning two cy young awards. he played for a lot of teams but was inducted into the hall of fame as a san francisco giant. fansns rememberr him for his cocolorful personality and legendary spitball. perry did die this morning in his home in south carolina. he was 84 years old. >>> a royal visit in boston during a royal controversy back in london. prince william and princess kate continued their u.s. trip. last night they actually went to a basketball game, sat courtside at the celtics game. but their trip is being overshadowed by an incident at buckingham palace. a black woman was at a reception at buckingham palace when she was repeatedly questioned by a royal aide about her nationality. the royal aide is prince william's godmother. she has since resigned. both buckingham palace and prince william have released statements decrying racism. >>> up next, we check in with the first place 49ers. chris

perry refused to talk to your committee. what do you make of this new development? >> well, when they executed the warrants on mr. perry's phone, i presumed that they would get information that the committee was not able to get. the department of justice has tools that we don't have so i'm glad that they're not just letting it go. obviously we were unable to get the testimony of the members of congress or the evidence that they possess, and that's one of the things we'll be discussing and talking about later in the business meeting, what to do about that. >> what -- what was your response when you heard congresswoman marjorie taylor greene of georgia over the weekend last weekend saying if she and steve bannon had been in charge of january 6th they would have won and also they would have been armed. she later said she was -- she was joking around, but we interviewed sargeant guinnelle and he didn't find it particularly amusing. >> well, i don't think it's amusing either. first, we -- apparently she identifies with an armed mob that tried to overthrow the government.
