anyone with information is asked to call petaluma police. hundreds of san francisco school district educators and staff are targeted for layoffs. now they're going to be speaking out of today. at a press conference and this comes after the district sent more than 400 layoff notices last month to teachers and staff. the layoffs are part of the district's plan to fix a massive budget deficit. they're facing 125 million dollar budget shortfall next year. and if it isn't fixed, the district could face a takeover from the state. the president of the united educators, san francisco will be one of several speakers at the conference. she says the layoffs are a necessary and will disrupt their students. education. the conference starts at 10:00am. and it will be in front of the school district's building on franklin street. meanwhile, parents, students and educators in the mount diablo school district there fighting to keep music playing in classrooms. district leaders are proposing cuts to some music programs to save money matter. harry spoke to one
