it is 53 santa rosa, 48 petaluma. so certainly some cooler numbers in our protected valleys. 55 napa was 60 by the delta, 61 in livermore. and final stop there in san jose. so over the weekend we're mild at the coast, warm inland. we will have the fog from the san mateo coast, but it will break through a little bit. it will be sunnier around marin county and comfortably cool for the pride parade. looking very nice with temperatures well into the 70s tomorrow downtown and for the upcoming workweek or holiday week, i should say it's going to be warm to hot. and in fact, we're talking temperatures could be higher than 107 in some parts of our inland valley. so our excessive heat watch from 11 a.m. on tuesday through friday night. now we're not going to see a whole lot of recovery at night. the heat is going to build from day to day. so unless you have air conditioning, hopefully you can make some plans to try to cool off throughout the evening hours. and as i said before, this could last into next weekend. so we're looki

the golden gate bridge with upper 40s santa rosa, petaluma and looking at upper 50s from concord.of gusty at times by the airport. you can see a bit of haze there from our sutro tower camera. so father's day weekend it'll be sunny and mild for the most part, but we'll have breezy to gusty winds at times. and then the winds really ramp up tonight into sunday and that creates high fire danger, elevated fire danger for all of us into the second half of the weekend. and monday as well. so the national weather service has highlighted the red flag warning for solano county, lake county, where winds will be out of the north 10 to 20 miles an hour gusting to 35. and that brings the relative humidity really through a three day period from 10 to 20. but as we look at the bay area as a whole throughout the rest of the day, the yellows indicate the high possibility of fire danger from the north bay to the upper elevations of the santa cruz mountains. for your saturday, and the rest of us in a moderate risk as the relative humidity is increasingly lower day to day. this is your sunday morning.

. >> well, an investigation goes on into a fire near the petaluma fairgrounds. firefighters rushed there thursday afternoon around 5 p.m. they found a storage room attached to a livestock barn engulfed in flames before the firefighters got there and quickly put out the fire. the workers used three extinguishers to at least try to slow the flames down, the petaluma fire department says no injuries have been reported. they're also reminding residents how important it is to always have fire extinguishers nearby. >> california's bullet train project has reached a major milestone. the entire 463 mile route from san francisco to los angeles is now environmentally cleared for construction. this comes after the high speed rail authority's board approved the final 38 mile segment from palmdale to burbank. milestone brings the state closer to realizing the high speed rail system segments linking the central valley to silicon valley and san francisco received environmental clearance back in 2022. authorities say they expect to gain approval for the portion that goes from l

but petaluma gap a little bit down to monterey, santa cruz, monterey. that's retreating already. so it's mainly going to be a coastal item for today if you will. so 5060 on the temps i mean when we get hot hot usually you're starting to see 70s. but vacaville, brentwood, kelseyville they're getting in there. they're starting to warm up. so they'll be in the upper 90s to near 100 today. coast though i don't think so. 6070 there and then bayside, 70s and 80s. that low to the south is going to start to lift northward as it does. that will usher in a cooling trend starting tomorrow for many and for all on thursday as the way it looks here. but it's a warm up for today, coastal fog. and it's really just right there. cool to mild lows give way to warm bayside conditions and hot inland. we're looking for 60s to 90s, maybe a couple degrees within 100 degrees i would think clear lake vacaville, maybe calistoga in there as well, the upper 90s to near 100. but wednesday looks cool. and then it looks cooler for all on thursday. >> all right, steve, thank you. time
