pete? >> reporter: good morning to you, marcus and laura. yes, as you guys mentioned, we knew this was coming but still, a huge development for the nation's largest utility. of course we're talking about pg&e, which has been at the center of a number of investigations when it comes to those wildfires that ripped through northern california over the past few years. but here is what we know at least at this hour, when it comes to this bankruptcy. we know that the utility company has filed for chapter 11 reorganization. they've cited hundreds of lawsuits from victims of the tubbs fire and other fires between 2017 and 2018. now this comes as they were recently cleared of wrongdoing, when it comes to the tubbs fire that took place in 2017. now, the bankruptcy filing does put a halt on lawsuits and consolidates it into bankruptcy court, making it harder for victims with claims. so that's something that we're going to be following closely. now, of course all of this happening as the california public utilities commissions approved a plan for pg&e t
