new movie released, deepwater horizon directed by peter burns. paragon by the way directed by burt ton, batman with michael keaton, sleepy hollow, the list goes on. big fish. this film to me is a throw-back to his original style of film making with edward scissor hand based on a popular book. huge cast. about a young boy who learners he has a peculiar -- his family is connected to her and the children in her home who have special powers. now, you can think of it like an x men meets alice in wonder land meets edward scissor hand. the score is phenomenal. the themes are amazing, but the beauty is the throw-back to kim burton's stop-motion animation. you get to see some old-school stop motion animation. if you're not familiar with that it's puppets moving 24 times in a second to create motion. it could take weeks just to get minutes of a sequence done in a movie. but this film is brilliant. i love the messages about acceptance and love. i five it a 4 out of 5. it feels a bit long in the middle, but the end is all worth it. next up deepwater horizon
