(philippe) twelve minutes after santa rosa police officers showed up at this home just after six saturday morning... investigators say an officer unsuccessfully tried to taser a man who lived here, described as acting "crazy" by the person who called 9-11. the sonoma county sheriff's office, which is investigating this case, says officers also tried to subdue the man with pepper spray, but that didn't work either. the sheriff's office says the man was hiding underneath a bed in a room in the house on west steele lane. three minutes after police used non-lethal force... the sheriff's office says the suspect charged after officers with a 12-inch kitchen knife... and, that's when an officer opened fire, killing the man. the sheriff's office says another person was found in the home with a non-life threatening laceration. john eigenman (eye-gehn-men) lives next door, but was sound asleep when the shots were fired... though he says his son heard them.john eigenman/neighbor-
