an investigation is underway after a pinellas county pinellas county deputy shot and killed a man who was armed with a knife. deputies were called out to the duval park apartments in lealman wednesday night. investigators say the suspect, 43- year-old william beavers, who was said to be "drunk and belligerent" came at them with a knife. they told him to put it down, but he reportedly responded saying: you're going to have to kill me. deputy tyler green shot and killed him. people say beavers had medical issues. deputy green has been placed on paid administrative leave. another child has died from monday's school bus crash in chattanooga, tenneesee. that means a total of six students were killed. four children are still in the hospital. there is also some new information on the driver of that bus. alcohol and drugs have been ruled out... but investigators are looking into other possible factors, like excessive speed. the n-t-s-b says it also wants to know why 24-year-old johnthony walker wasn't driving on a designated bus route. walker remains in jail on charges of vehicular manslaught

spotted this books cxl that they believe was stolen just before 3 this pursuit as they got near pinellas county. they radioed deputies right here who immediately used their helicopter to locate that vehicle. deputies on the ground then pursued that vehicle heading up 49th street north right here in st. pete. that car was going at a high rite of speed, possibly at speeds above 100 miles per hour this morning. it eventually veered off the road ending up inside of this publix shopping center parking lot hitting those two palm trees before landing on all fours and flipping multiple time out here this morning. now investigators tell us there were two people inside of that vehicle. both were taken to a local hospital. we're told their injuries were not life-threatening. at this point we're still waiting on official word on possible charges this morning as well. of course we'll be here throughout the morning gathering more information. as soon as we get it of course we'll bring it to you. for now reporting live in st. pete, rodney dunigan abc action news. >>> the polk county sheriff's office investiga
