pittsfield this morning is at 31 degrees. this afternoon, likely topping out at 39 degrees. moving into boston, 48. as we move onto the cape and islands, upper 40's to near 50 south. that's where the shower chances are going to be a bit more prevalent, because of the track of the storm system moving through. it's mainly down to our south and east. it's moving out into the atlantic. so right along the coastline, the cape and islands, that's where the shower chances will be strongest today. even there, though, it's going to be a light rainfall as it tracks on through. we're watching that through this evening. notice how drier air is starting to filter in as we move into the forecast overnight and into your sunday. breezy conditions expected tomorrow, but that sunshine breaking through. chances of snow just outside of our area. we'll likely be missing out on that locally. your seven-day forecast, we're starting off cool this weekend, but we see that sun break out tomorrow and things are looking up for next week. that's as we see that jet stream starting to push northward. that'

as we head inland, we see upper 50's to near 60 heading toward pittsfield. futurecast looking dry through the forecast today, but there are those clouds creeping in off the shore. that will be affecting much of the cape and downtown boston as well. by this evening, the clouds move initially, these clouds bring a few spot showers, but the main rainfall is something we're tracking as we head into tomorrow morning. notice how that moves through. we do see the chance for heavier showers embedded within that rain. so that's something for early tomorrow morning. we'll be watching with that travel. notice how we move from western massachusetts and through much of new york. that's moving in with the likelihood of snow. and so that's where we see the best chance of accumulating snowfall which actually stretches through much of northern vermont as well. sunday afternoon. that's when winds pick up. we start to feel a real chilldown in our area. most of us staying dry as part of that snow chance, but as we move westward through worcester hills, we'll see a light coating

pittsfield sitting at 37 degrees in the height of the afternoon. and the culprit for these breezy conditions, well, it's due in part to that storm system we saw yesterday, which is now off to the north and east. but also due to high pressure proximity to each other, we have very strong winds squeezing in between from canada. that is why we're going to see that cool and gusty air throughout the forecast today and as we head into the forecast tonight. tomorrow, high pressure is in place. we'll stay cool but dry. next rainfall approaching for tuesday. that's going to bring a nice warm front into the area. although we're seeing that rain, things are going to feel really mild as we take a look at the seven-day forecast. we have things crossing into workweek, and the reason for that is because of the change in the jet stream pattern. we have it jumping up to the north, allowing for that warm air to push back into our region. we're going to see things crossing well above average. as we said, about 54 degrees on wednesday. kicking off december on thursday,
