plaque asked was whether or not the funds were used for -- after school programs and the reasons why. sup plen mental is specifically earmarked for summer programs. the reasons why there was a student number noted in these k-resolutions is that these are reimbursed at $7.50 and that is per the state requirements. at this time c.d.e. is the one who mandates that that school sites receive the funds. the school district doesn't have a lot of authority who gets the fund and who does not. a majority of the sites that received were elementary and middle school. the high school funds allows them an opportunity to use their current school year allocation to extend on into the summer while the use of district staff and certificated staff is always encouraged. the principal is encouraged to use it for the students and they have the support of our community based organize. for the purpose of these funds, there are some restrictions to its use. and so a lot of our program are able to extend to a full day instead of three hours as mandated by the grant through use of matching funds from dcyf as we
