volunteer searchers found human remains near the sunol pleasanton border where police think michele lei's body was potentially dumped. one of the searchers was in court today. >> there is a lot of mixed emotions now because there are people that put hours and hours and hours behind the scenes doing this type of thing. the people that were involved, it's very emotional for them to discover somebody deceased. >> reporter: the alameda county sheriff's office is trying to do a positive identification on the skeletal remains. investigators say they're calling on a forensic pathologist and forensic dentist. the hayward police department wants that dentist to compare michele lei's dental records with the remains found over the weekend. >> if you are comparing it to a specific person, then it can go quicker than if it's just you have dental bones and teeth it, can take a long, long time obviously. >> reporter: michele lei disappeared in may. the nursing student last seen leaving kaiser hospital in hayward. the alameda county sheriff says they'll potentially be performing that dental match on the
