travel is slow from raymond, closer to exeter and hampton, portsmouth. you see the yellows and oranges on radar, that's indicating where some of this heavy rain is and this batch moving right over and along 101, probably getting into lee and durham and portsmouth within the next half-hour, rain probably picking up, and then finally wrapping up, you can see out by keene, alstead, his where things are wrapping up and very quickly, all of us will see that happening too. this is a cold front that's moving through and it's a long trailing cold front. look how far back it goes, all the way toward memphis and oklahoma. and it is a cold front. so behind it some much cooler air. tomorrow temperatures across the state likely won't even crack 60 degrees. so when you're out there doing your apple picking, checking out the foliage, you'll want your heavy jacket because it's going to feel cool and crisp, especially with the northwest wind that will be kicking in as well. rain showers the heaviest end during the early evening and then maybe a couple scattered showers.

you notice a live look in portsmouth. clear skies. temperatures have dropped back into the 40's there. there are a lot of 30's farther west and north. not a bad start to the day. we have a little bit of fog out there in a few spots this morning. we're going to be looking at a good deal of sunshine into the afternoon with temperatures today making their way back into the 40's to lower range of the 50's. it comes with just about full sunshine for us today. a light wind out of the northwest which will only go at around five miles an hour into the afternoon. mostly sunny skies tomorrow. then the clouds start to increase. the rainfall starts to push in on wednesday. i think we start dry wednesday and end on the wet side. temperatures in the 30's to lower 40's early this morning. note the 16 on top of mt. washington. wind chill at 11 below zero. eventually the winds start to turn more southerly. we'll see a couple of notches warmer tomorrow with highs in the mid 40's to mid 50's ahead of the next system that arrives with milder air. mid 40'
