the post office was evacuated. this is from fire chief tim horwath. >> we received a call about 2:55 this afternoon of two packages delivered by a subject unknown at this time. postal staff was alerted that the two packages were addressed to the fbi. that alerted the staff who called in the fbi. fbi came here where we are waiting for bomb squad to clear the packages. once cleared, our hazmat team, represented by miami, will be coming in taking in -- care of the packages.>> we have brand- new information for you. in the last few minutes, we cleared these letters. another word, there doesn't seem to be a problem with them. i do not know what's inside of them. obviously, fbi is there. there checking it out and trying to find out what is inside the letters. also, as far as the individual is concerned, is a person of interest. apparently, according to our folks here, he didn't do anything really wrong. they just want to talk to him. later on, we're told we will get a piure and description. we will have much more on this
