youth programs. and we are fortunate to get support from the city and to be out here. and all due to the attention that happened three years ago when there was a lot of african, asian tension out here, because of misunderstanding. we want to focus on young people. and we have our second summit where youth come together and organize it. and the theme they come up is called usla, a way to address trauma and stress. and the young people came up with this idea and put together addressing the trauma and the stress they deal with every day in district 10. and another thing we need more programs dealing with employments where asian and hiring african-americans and job training and latino population. to create programs and funding to reflect the population in district 10. we know that justification happens because of development, but we know that the city wants to invest in the community also. but we need to do it the right way. i have a couple of young people to share their experience in the program and hop

every program that gets through to this selection process their program name is written down on a sticky. so everyone gets consideration. sometimes those sticky are grouped by neighborhood and target population because we're trying to reach a pa particular population we want to make sure the money. so here's many of the numbers in the end. this doesn't include the funding. excuse me. but 4 hundred and 98 proposals were received and some neighborhoods and some funding strategies have a a lot more strategies so the competition may have been very high. for example, if you were doing arts you had more competition. so at the end 2 hundred and 85 proposals of the 2 hundred 90 those advanced to the selection process that i described and in the end 2 hundred and 89 were awarded funding. we were asked to provide some data this is hot off the press so i haven't had a full opportunity to review this but we're certainly open to meeting with your staff. this is by the strategies and the actual proposals submitted and awarded. what we're looking at is our funding by district. how it appeared in 2013 a
