those are a total of 5 providers. one of the things in terms of the policy issues kw response strategies that we are working on, we manage san francisco pilot that allows us to have a higher state reimbursement rate. the state has a single rate throughout the state which is a problem for us because our cost of care and i have a sloyd to show the rate disparity for title 5 contractors. it is our number 1 policy problem because as we try to support those providers if the state isn't paying their fair share it is a problem. it is a problem for them to keep their doors open let alone provide quality care. that is a big challenge. we have this pilot that allows us to pay a slightly higher state rate and that pilot is due to sunset. it also allows us for families to stay in eligibility for subsidy longer. the state medium income ceiling for eligibility is 43.200 and the pilot rate allows them to stay in the subsidy for 53 thousand. that is for a family of 3 and it changes depend on the size of the family. we also are workin

we're able to accomplish these by educating and by providing direct nutrition education and providing support to the participants with increased access to healthy foods, reducing the consumption of beverages that are high in sugar content, so healthier beverages and also increasing physical activity, and also improving the food resource management skills of these participants. so based on the state's and also the county's profile for snap-ed participants as well as staff needs assessment and also the providers identifying needs and interests we were able to identify two contractors that we recommend to you to help us implement these three projects. again the first project is snap-ed nutrition education and i will provide more details about that. the second project is the snap-ed early gardening project and i will introduce my colleague soon and she will give you details about that project and the third one is the thai chi program. all of the programs are evidence based which means they have been proven to be effective in achieving the impact that we want. all these programs have to be

we provided drop in services for the parents in the community at the community center. the coordination of services were with -- we had a meeting with city agencies facilitied by dcyf to figure out the next strategies in support of the children we also had a mental health provider conference where we asked and invited treatment providers across the city to see how we could support and provide mental health services to these children and their families and as a department met with the principals and the wellness coordinators to talk about what had happened over the summer and identify signs and symptoms they should look for and as we all know the children were probably going to seek the services through the school district and the follow up services and provided since then there has been coordination with park and rec and they sent over 80 people up to the camp and provided individual trauma focussed counselor and there has also been two groups for those kids that witnessed the homicide. we also have offered a grief group at our wellness center and increased our behavior

in the packet we provided to each of the supervisors and commissioners. you should have a copy of today's slides, an overview of the health education resources and california health education content standards that support these topics. it describes specific curriculum organized by grade level for elementary, middle and high school as well as some of the school wide resources and supports which are outlined on the last page of the packet. before we get into specific curriculum i wanted to provide a framing for how this instruction fits into the comprehensive health ed program and not simply a one off. comprehensive health ed is supported by sfusd policy and this requires instruction for all of our k-12 students. specifically at the elementary level that is 20 lessons per grade level, and middle school it's 30 class periods each grade throughout middle school and one semester for high school graduation requirement. the requirement of health education provides a pathway for this instruction and the content areas in orange violence and injury prevention ment

we had a group get together in little rock to discuss reimbursement to providers that have provided outside care. you will have situations that arise in of the va where because of emergencies or now with this rule that the va owes the money. it appears that the va owes lots of people in arkansas a lot of money and has not been very forthcoming in paying his bills. that is a real concern for a couple of reasons in the sense that it is another thing that makes it such that the trust issue we talk about. the other problem the other problem, if you do not pay your bills they will quit dealing with you. and that is the greatest thing which really will affect quality of care. can you quickly mention that? >> i will. throw in a comment. i talked about our strategies. strategies. one of them i talked about was improving internal support services. and going to a shared services model where we centralize all the people. we have more work to do, but that will dramatically improve the rates people get paid. >> yes. i would just add that we are tracking this rate of payments and help the claims are a we

over a hundred smaller providers around the country. our companies offer internet access on a fixed and mobile bases. and we serve urban areas, rural areas, and companies that are publically and privately held. >> when it comes to mobile is this going to be a strong argument in your lawsuit? >> i think it is a strong argument. the argument is this: congress never intended to treat mobile broadband as a common carrier service. it was quite explicit. internet access service was an information service and that is why i said the fcc is having great difficulty keep in mind the standards we all agree with can be written in a sentence no blocking throttling or paid private. but they had to issue over 300 pages in order to achieve a simple objective. so i think it is important to go back to the court. i am quite confidant the court is going to say what is clear on the face of the statute. there is no authority for the fcc to be regulating the internet. and then i hope that we can get congress to expand the fcc's authority to be able to address
