this is what the radar looks like right now. so it started over parts of gaston county and extended northeast of there for where we it started gaston county area, gastonia, bessemer city, iron station and then moved just north of charlotte north along 77 we had places like mooresville and salisbury and davidson. and where you see the darker color on the radar. sometimes the radar has trouble differentiating what is rain and what is wet snowflakes. that is a possibility. in the mountains where we did have light snow seeing a break between waves of moisture right now. this is the broader view of the storm system. you can see a little bit of circulation where the actual low is towards the west and this is a quick-moving system that is not terribly strong so there is not a whole lot of moisture so it will be moving through quickly and the snow totals for the mountains backed off and come down from yesterday at this time. i took the clouds off so you can see here what is going on with the radar. with this is trending south. as we do

a look at the satellite and radar. we see that there is still some more activity over parts of the hills as you go over the peninsula and approaching the south bay and the seven-day forecast coming up at the bottom of the screen. you'll be able to see how much more rain we'll get over the next several days. we still have this area of pressure still winding up and still off shore. so as that rotates in we may have more energy moving in and still quite a bit of rain. so, looking at the rain timeline, there's still some bright yellows and oronges here indicating some heavy rain, once again. the possibility of some thunderstorms, too. and then by 10:00, we see much of this covering the bay area and then starting to move off to the east. but we're still not in the clear. there will be a chance of some thunderstorms moving through the north bay and peninsula and possibly into the east bay before this all wraps up. the wind forecast shows that it will bey throughout the day, especially along the coast. look at half moon bay a

pinpoint weather starting with radar this evening. no radar echoes out there. it's all good, pretty, my camera shot died. it's not black yet. it's not dark. it's beautiful. i had a beautiful camera shot behind that, it's gone. 78 in orlando. 80 in melbourne. 75 in leesburg. 77 in the villages. 72 in new smyrna beach and all over brevard county, merritt island, the cape, cocoa beach, all the way down to melbourne, 80 degrees here at news time, which is awesome. satellite and radar together we've got a frontal boundary but it doesn't look like much of a front, does it? it has basically dissolved as it's rolled in. we picked up some cloud cover. we didn't get a lot of rain. we talked about this last night. it would be coming through with maybe a sprinkle. on the visible satellite image, you can see it fading out but the clouds are there. it's not super quick and there's not back-up moisture either. it's going to be a good run into the weekend. tonight at midnight, that's what satellite should look like. there's nothing to worry about. a smooth run into the night.
