san rafael, almost 2 inches. rain along 101 in the north bay. you've got sunshine in san jose and almost 70 degrees right now. this trend will continue through the afternoon. periods of rain from the central bay northward. not so much around san jose, as we see clearing skies in the south bay, still maybe another .25 inches to .5 inches possible in the north bay then the storm moves on. here is why storm two has a subtropical boost that could increase rain rates in the mountains thursday and friday. here is the projection in terms of estimated rainfall. you'll see a huge change with storm two, especially if you're in the south bay. you notice here, no rain shadow this time. you can see san jose and the santa cruz mountains should see 1 to 2 inches of rain, locally higher around the loma fire burn scar and the so beranes fire. we'll show you that in a few minutes. >>> a 50-foot tree came down in just moments. you see it resting there pretty much on nearby homes. it was brought down by yesterday's rains and wind in berkeley. that is just one place
