raj mathai joins us with the latest numbers. raj, i went to that news conference. good news there. >> you were listening in, so was i. we've been doing this for, what, six months now. this stands out in a good way. the numbers are encouraging. but word of caution here, things can change pretty quickly. we've lived through that as well. here's what we know today. beginning today, campuses are eligible to reopen. if your school applied for a waiver and that waiver was approved, in-classroom learning can begin. .supplies for pre-k, kindergarten through 6th grade. many private schools have already reopened campus. my son's element ril school, that's a green light. we expect him to return to campus maybe the next couple of weeks once the school reconfigures its classrooms and safety protocols. as for the statewide covid cases. the positivity rate in the past week alone is down to 2.8%, which is the lowest it's been. there's been a significant increase in the number of people getting tested. >> we are committed to increasing testing in the state of california. we're not
