let's go to raj mathias in london with the details. good morning, raj. >> reporter: good morning. good afternoon. it's a strange one. usually we talk about doping or drugs but this time suspensions for trying to lose a match. now in terms of what's happening here eight female players all doubles badminton players from various countries, indonesia, china and south korea have been asked to leave the olympic games and go home. they have been disqualified. they were intentionally trying to lose their matches to get a more favorable position in terms of the badminton draw. that's against most spirits of any sports and especially the ioc. the international olympic committee has definitely opened the way and they are now gone, leaving these olympic games. on a much more positive note we're talking about michael phelps. everyone waking up in the bay area to some history. what we saw yesterday was simply amazing. number 18 and number 19 in terms of his career olympic medals and that's number one of all time and here's something we don't talk about too often gold medals equals a gold mind.
