yesterday retired lieutenant colonel ralph peters had some tough words.s back and we ared by retired assistant vice chief lieutenant general tom mcinerney for more perspective on this. the "l.a. times" says the pictures were brought to hem by a soldier who is part of the unit and it was an attempt by him, the soldier to draw attention to the safety risk associated with what he perceives as a decline in leadership and discipline in afghanistan. the "times" says this fulfills its obligation to report vigorously and impartially on all aspects of the american mission in afghanistan. colonel peters, you have been critical of the mission but yesterday were critical of the "l.a. times." given this was their purpose does it change your view of their decision to punr publish the photos? >> the "l.a. times" editors are here is. they did this because their paper is on the rocks and they are trying to push up circumstances laying. i think there is a scandal at the "l.a. times." if this soldier was so concerned about good order and discipline why didn't he go to the f

joining me now retired lieutenant colonel ralph peters.e fox news military analyst retired general tom mcinerney. the president appeal together troops. last time around he lost overall the veteran's vote but he won veterans who are younger than 65. the younger ones went for him. how do you think that will turn this time around? >> that depends on whether governor romney and the republican leadership can get serious about the military vote and military families. obama isn't much of a president. but he's a brilliant, ruthless, shameless campaigner. an and his advisors realize as commander-in-chief he can take air force one and give a campaign speech at every u.s. base in the world as long as he doesn't call it a campaign speech. while governor romney who hasn't shown much interest in the military, can't hold a campaign event on a military base. they haven't figured out the extent of the military vote is up for grabs. if governor romney listens to the washington generals and talks about doubling down in afghanistan on the assumption that civi
