let's get over to cnn's randi kaye live in clearwater beach. randi, what are you seeing there? >> boris, let me first tell you what's happening in the keys just south of here. there was a boat that capsized and the search is on for nine missing people about 23 miles off of key west. we're getting information from the coast guard there that they've done the survivor debriefs, talking to the people they rescued. they have been able to rescue 13 people. we're told there are seven men and two women who are still missing. they're still looking for those. that's the situation there. take a look at the situation here. things have certainly improved considering what we were dealing with yesterday. we had heavy, heavy rain and wind yesterday. i know we have video to show you. it came in about 2:00 a.m. to this area in clearwater beach. this is clearwater harbor where we are. the rain and the winds were bounding. we had 50 to 70-mile-per-hour winds, lots of rain, four to six inches. there were tornado warnings. there were some minor power outages. clearwater police say nothing too bad. t

randi kaye joins us from surfside, and randi, you're learning more about one of the victims.? >> reporter: john, another child has been pulled from the rubble. this time a 7-year-old girl. she was recovered from miami search and rescue. and it turns out that she is the daughter of a firefighter who works with miami fire search and rescue. he was actually working on the pile at the time. he did not find his daughter, but a search team from task force two did, and they called him over and told him that tragic news. so, you can just imagine, john, how difficult it is for this family. this little girl has not been identified publicly, nor has her father. the family is asking for privacy at this time. but certainly a very, very difficult situation for them like it is for so many families here in the surfside area. also tonight, john, we are learning more about those who ran for safety as that building came crumbling down around them. and we're hearing stories of neighbors jumping into action to save neighbors. we met two of them today. >> all of a sudden i hear boom and my bed sha
