i'm taking off the storm ranger radar. it is not looking as details and also it is several minutes behind as we look at the comparison there of regar radar. i wanted to show seeing some of the rain moving mateo bridge and approaching the east bay. we are going to see the rain in the next few minutes in the area. here is a look at the larger view of the storm and all of the lightning that's being picked up just off the coast. it will be moving closer. we will have a chance of getting thunderstorms here especially at the center makes it into northern california. we are looking at our hour by hour outlook. pretty widespread with downpours by 1:00 especially up through the north bay. it movers ins into the east bay. we'll see it off and on throughout the night and high winds may also topple some trees especially when the ground is this saturated. we go into 2:00 in the morning. a lot of this has moved off to the east. there will be spotty showers kind of lingering even into late morning into early afternoon. we are at 2:30 and

we're tracking it all with our nbc bay area storm ranger. live look on the left side of your screen, you saw in san francisco and our doppler radar as well. good morning. thanks for joining us. i'm kira klapper. meteorologist rob mayeda starts us off with another busy day for you again today. >> wind speeds similar to yesterday but we'll see more rain this time around and it's off to an early start around the north bay, from marin county, mill valley, good showers there. coming off the ocean, san francisco getting into the rain and more rain crossing the coast. the high definition scans of what's coming next just offshore, the cells will be crossing the coast during the 7:00 a.m. hour. we've seen a little lightning offshore as well. can't rule out a rumble or two of thunder. ones they move onshore they can mix for strong wind gusts. watch for that 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. peninsula to san francisco. unlike yesterday, where the first band went through for the morning, this is going to stick around for a while. we'll be looking at rain at times now.
