jamie raskin came on the program and explained why it was important, and not just symbolic.g to get the actual subpoena. and those, and the, past have been fairly informative about what the committee knows and what it's seeking. so what do you anticipate we might learn from this? >> it could be volumes. as you point out, the subpoenas, we've seen quite a few of them. we've seen steve bannon. we've seen alex jones. we've seen many of those who have chosen to come forward, and others who've been cooperating. and yes, the pretty details. they listed out and itemized detailed lists of why documents the committee is looking for, and also, general topics with subheading's, essentially. here are areas that were pretty sure you're gonna have information about. so, the whole set of hearings, essentially, has revolved around former president trump's actions and inaction on the day in question. and before and after january 6th. so, it could go on for volumes, but probably, that'll keep us in sync to the point. and, you know, that, then we'll see what he does. i think it's an interestin

>> jonathan, first of, all my response to that is, to representative raskin, he's exactly right. it is no defense to say, i was following orders i hoped would be given but never were. and by the, way if they had been given, i would not have been subject to those orders anyway because i am not in the military. so it is a defense that fails for multiple reasons, and there has been evidence introduced over the course of the last week that stewart rhodes wrote an open ledger where he says trump, if he fails to in evoke the insurrection act, we oath keepers will take up arms and matters into our own hands. my observations of the trial overall is, it is surprising how much direct evidence of guilt we have. prosecutors ordinarily build evidence on circumstantial -- not so fortunate to have, for example, a videotape of the defendants breaching the capitol, inside the capitol, and then bragging about taking the capital. the evidence is quite strong. of course, there is a long way to go. the defendants haven't put on their defenses yet. and no cases ashore winner, but it's sure looks like
