terry mcsweeney is live at the store on redwood road with the story. terry? >> redwood road near highway 13 and the general profile is these are older women. the good news is police say they know one of the two people who are pulling off these robberies. it's just a matter of time until they get 'em but they haven't got 'em yet. take a look. police say this has happened six times in the past month and it happens the same way every time. the robber is walking around in the parking lot here pretending to be in a conversation on a cellphone. he spots a victim and hops into a white s.u.v. with an accomplice behind the wheel. they follow the woman home and rob her in front of her house or in her driveway. and as they're unloading their grocery bags. >> citizens need to be aware that this is something that's happening at grocery store. they need to be vigilant and aware when they're getting into their car. >> the councilwoman says police patrols have been increased and police know who one of the two thieves is. a surveillance camera caught one of the robberies on t

we have breaking traffic news right now out of redwood city. chopper 5 just spotted this accident on the off-ramp. this is southbound 101, the off- ramp to whipple avenue. this was an injury crash. you can see one of the cars involved in the accident there on the side off to the shoulder. we just got off the phone with chp. they tell us that two cars were involved in this accident and one of the drivers actually took off on foot. you can see chp emergency crews still on scene completely blocking the whipple avenue off- ramp right now. we have learned they are still waiting for a tow crew to get on scene. so it sounds like that off-ramp will likely be shut down for a while. again, injury crash, one driver taking off on foot right there in redwood city. so thank you for that, chopper 5. all right, the rest of the bay area looking pretty good this morning. east bay traffic moving fine. no delay all the way down the eastshore freeway as you head towards ashby. nice and quiet. the bay bridge toll plaza, so far, so good. yesterday's traffic was great

fifth and sixth graders here at redwood day school in oakland, one of the schools affected.re were three here in the bay area. administrators at the science camp where this went on, which is just outside of petaluma, don't think that it was a food- borne illness. they believe this was just a virus that spread very, very quickly. so parents came to the camp to pick their kids up at around midnight last night. we have some video from that scene overnight. it happened at the walker creek ranch, an overnight retreat camping spot near petaluma. part of the marin county office of education, its outdoor science school. someone at the ranch called paramedics around 10:00 last night reporting one sick person. when they got there, they found dozens of others, 50 people total, with flu-like symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea. >> 250 or 260 people in the whole campus this week, and a little over 50 have been ill. so that's a bigger-than-normal number so we just wanted to make sure again that the kids are safe and that we're getting them home and getting them to bed where they can get h

this morning, pretty much everybody, much colder except for redwood city and antioch. look at napa, ten degrees cooler and five degrees colder for why you in oakland. mountain view, five degrees cooler, a wind shift and weakening ridge of high pressure, we will see sunshine but increasing clouds late in the day. that will allow for a cooler afternoon highs. rain returns tomorrow, maybe a quarter of an inch in the north bay but here is where we stand so far. with 20 inches in santa rosa, 90% of normal. oakland is eleven inches, the 6% of normal and san jose is trailing behind, 66% of normal. we have a rs of storms stacked up in the pacific northwest that will be rotating through the bay area. the strongest one, tuesday night into wednesday, maybe a couple of inches with that system but the first one headed our way tomorrow. first one, sonoma county late morning, rest of the bay and maybe not the south bay but by the early evening hours there is a chance when things settle down into monday night, but we tuesday afternoon late into wednesday. here is the next stronger sto
