that jermaine reed takes very seriously. as the executive director of fresh start family services... he sees the disparities that black children in foster care face in wisconsin. data shows that there are 1553 black children looking for homes.. .. making up 68 percent of the milwaukee county foster ce systm system"if 68.2 percent of our foster care community was made up of white children, we would see an intentional, strategic, agressive reponse for child who are in power."that's part of the reason reed's black homes for black children plan.. an iniative he believes will utimately help black kids succeed iall aspects of life. it's also an issue he feels the state has not properly handled.
