farther to the south, it's warmer in rehoboth beach, 77. lewes is 75. that's the starting point.philadelphia, 70s as well. no cool spots but it is 77 in rittenhouse. that's 20 degrees cooler than it was yesterday afternoon. we had a high of 97 degrees. but just like yesterday when it felt like more than 100 degrees, the temperatures will feel like 100 degrees plus for much of the area this afternoon, especially in philadelphia. look at the temperature rise. by later this morning, around noontime, we'll see 90 degrees. it will feel like 95 degrees and the temperatures will peak in the middle 90s. the humidity that's been elevated the last several days will continue to make it feel like more than 100 degrees in philadelphia this afternoon. that's 4:00 today. 101, the feels-like temperature. not much better by 6:00 this evening, 100 degrees is what it will feel like. there's a chance we'll getç cooling late day showers this evening, more likely to see them in the suburbs and delaware and south jersey than we will for the rest of the area. right now it's completely dry. the storm we

now, if you are along the beaches in sussex county, rehoboth beach 82 degrees.nd, it's still going to be fairly hot. not so much along the shore. it will be a little bit of a relief. but temperatures still around 90 for your saturday. we do have thunderstorm chances mostly late in the day sunday. i'll show you the timing in just a minute. we have a lot more relief coming. the seven-day at the bottom of your screen, you'll notice relief coming. the summer calendar. for august, at least the month of august, all those red days, those are 90-degree-plus days. that was our big heat wave we just had. this weekend around 90. look at the stretch of 80-degree temperatures coming. that's the relief, it will also come with low humidity. it will feel really nice as we go into next week. something to certainly look forward to. live look at the radar. we're fairly dry. we've had a few pop-up small showers along the shore. not a big deal. right now we could see a few sprinkles, but mostly dry. for tonight, future weather, mostly dry for your friday evening. if you have plans.

here's a live look at rehoboth beach right now. we do not expect it to look like this now across the entire weekend. it's all because of tropical storm hermine churning in the gulf of mexico. it has strengthened now. max winds 45 miles an hour. lots of rain moving into florida at the moment from this system. and we expect rain from it as we go into part of your labor day weekend. so by early friday morning, this storm's going to make landfall somewhere in the panhandle of florida. then it will head up the eastern seaboard. and potentially be right over our area by sunday afternoon. so this is the time frame that we're watching, mainly sunday. now, the cone gets wider as we go farther out in time because of the uncertainty. but at this point, because of the track shift, which is very different than yesterday, anywhere in this cone, the storm would be affecting our weekend. so at this point, we have changed your labor day weekend forecast because of the updated track. and what a lot of the computer models are showing, as far as this
