morning for a brazen group of poachers who broke into a zoo near paris and killed a rare white rhinocerosor its horn. kelly cobiella has the latest on the investigation. good morning. >> good morning, savannah. yeah, a real shock and loss for the animal caretakers who knew their animals were at risk. we all know that these rhinoceroses are being targeted and poached at alarming rates in africa. but this is a real first, targeting a zoo in a european capital. >> reporter: the zoo outside paris should have been a safe haven for a rhino. young males vince and bruno were brought here in march of 2015. sometime monday night, poachers broke through a fence and several doors, one of them metal, and killed 4-year-old vince for his horn. his caretaker, shocked and devastated, found him tuesday morning. he had several bullets in his head. his horn sawed off, cut into sections. the horn can go for tens of thousands of dollars on the market. so valuable, gangs have broken into europe's museums to snap them off displays. at some reserves in africa, horns are sawn off to protect the animals from poache
