a couple of days ago i announced that in rhode island, rhode island in partnership with cbs, open a rapidesting facility in in the parking lot of twin river in lincoln. this is going very well, and it's a test where you drive through, you are swapped, tested and have the result within a half an hour, hopefully less than a half an hour. we hear that a lot of people are going into cvs pharmacies requesting a test. you cannot do that. the only way to sign up for a test is to go online to cbs.com. if you have symptoms of coronavirus and you want to get tested, go to cbs.com and make -- cvs.com and make yourself an appointment. at the time of the appointment if you have to drive to twin river, they have a facility there, they are working in collaboration with us and you get your results right there all you way in the car in a parking -- weight in your car in the parking lot. please do not go into your local cvs pharmacy, because you will not be able to get tested. these tests are rapid. we want those test to be reserved for people who are 60 and older. health care professionals, people who hav

rhode island is very fortunate. cvs is headquartered in rhode island, they've been an unbelievable partner with me. so between that public/private partnership, we're doing a tremendous amount of testing in rhode island. two weeks ago the federal government supplied us with 1,500 abbott machines, every state got them. we still have not received the tests we need to operate those machines. and abbott is only going through the cdc, not dealing with the states. that's a perfect example. the president himself said yes, we need ubiquitous, readily available testing to have a safe reopening of the economy. he's right, i give him credit for that and i give him credit actually for letting the governors call the shots on the front lines. but the federal government needs to do more to provide us with the testing equipment that we need, frankly, for the next 12 months in order to safely navigate our way through this crisis. >> governor murphy of new jersey, a man you obviously know, thinks students should have to actually wear

and rhode island, i know you can't really see the dates, rhode island tries this twice. they have multiple ratifying conventions. the second one doesn't actually approve the constitution until may 29th of 1790 and if you are recollecting your american history we already have a sitting president at that point, george washington. and basically rhode island has to be dragged over the line into agreement with the federal convention or the federal constitution. so it is actually really interesting to kind of consider the chronology of the ratifying conventions as well. so the confederation congress wraps up shop in 1788 and on october 10th the last action of the confederation congress is to grant ten square michaels land to congress for a new federal town so after that point the government will move on up to new york city and the rest as they say is history. so i'm happy to take questions for about five minutes. one of my colleagues has a hand microphone. raise your hand if you have a question. i would be delighted to an it or direct you to a book that will answer it. >> good
