and msnbc contributor adrian el rod and founder strategies co-founder and republican strategist rick tylerreat to have you. too bad you're not here on this beautiful day at the capitol. thanks for being on the program. rick, i want to start with you. you're still a republican i think. but as somebody who has worked in the past for republican presidential campaigns and looked at your potential opponents very carefully, what's your assessment of how it went yesterday for these 2020 candidates, who stood out? if you're looking at running against one of these potential nominees, who are you most concerned about based on that? >> if you're on the judiciary committee and conducting the people's business, you have to do it from a political standpoint of view, you have to do it well without looking like you're trying to do it well. i think andy klobuchar did a fine job, and i think kamala harris did an equally fine job. they were tough and asked tough questions. attorney general barr was a little playing jeopardy, kept answering a question with a question. but i think they did fine. >> adrian, sam

rick tyler, the politics of this? was cancelled but rudy's trip to ukraine, i mean, all these things are done in plane sight prchl some would say unamerican in the way we probablyi fear i'm scared of the answer here. this will work politically for president trump? >> well, mika, it looks look the whole feis a process. it is a very controversial process to begin with and we want to know that if to look at or surveil people. the question what it looks look to me no is this is a perpetrated against him and we're going to use resources at the justice department to look into the whole process of how this investigation got started, which is not all together clear on if the investigation got started or the complaint is that we were looking or surveilling carter paige in particular and cart are paige doesn't seem to be very close to the campaign, he seems to be off doing his own this evening and ache tack so i'll al for a criminal probe ands that al this could be into no in light of the fact that you keks a pose that with you

the bond pick in chicago hi, rick >> reporter: hi, tyler they're fleeing everything that is equities, moving in a lot of u.s. treasuries, but a lot look at a two day chart of 10 year note yield haven't settled at that level since october of 2017. let's look at june 1st, 2017 in the uk hasn't been there, obviously, since june of '17 with regard to the yield. pattern very similar and they haven't been at these levels since september '16, although, july of '16 is when they made the lowest yield close of minus 19 basis points and there's been a lot of talk on the dollar index and it is but the chart, you'll see it make a big u-turn off the fresh high but we're hovering in the zone we haven't seen since may of 2017 and that chart on the dollar index, even though we've had the setback, most likely fed related. kelly, back to you. >> thanks and oil is also plunging today crude hitting the lowest level in a couple of weeks maybe to march prices. down 13% in the loast month. what's taking oil down >> doesn't make much sense venezuela, the libya in the middle of what's a civil war, if not the b
