hearing earlier, but robby mook the campaign manager for secretary of state hillary clinton i asked him about the dnc leak and he suggested that experts are saying that russians were behind both the leak -- the hacking of the dnc e-mails and their release. he seemed to be suggesting that this is part of a plot to help donald trump and hurt hillary clinton. your response? >> well, it just goes to show you their exact moral compass, they will say anything to be able to win this. this is time and time again, lie after lie. you notice he won't say, well, i say this. we hear experts. his house cat at home once said this is what's happening with the russians. it's disgusting. it's so phoney. i watched him bumble through the interview, i was able to hear it on audio a little bit. i mean, i can't think of bigger lies, but that exactly goes to show you what the dnc and what the clinton camp will do. they will lie and do anything to win. you hear it with the dnc where they're leaking e-mails about bernie sanders and his jewish heritage, to be able to try to destroy him in the south. it's a rigged

. >> we heard robby mook this morning, the clinton campaign director, say russia was behind the release of the dnc e-mails, suggesting there are troubling signs of ties between the putin regime and your campaign. that's been echoed in "the weekly standard" bill kristol, no fan of mr. trump. the conservative weekly standard saying that when we support ukraine, there may be troubling ties between your campaign and the putin regime. he says, the trump and manafort don't release the tax returns, wouldn't it be appropriate to check to see if putin is interfering in the current american election? how do you respond to that? >> it's pure obfuscation. they don't want to talk about what is in the e-mails. what's in the e-mails is that it's a clearly rigged system. bernie sanders never had chance. you'll see some of that resentment boiling over this week in philadelphia. wikileaks clearly uncovered what sanders has been saying and what donald trump has been saying. which is that, once again, the establishment and special interests picked their candidate, hillary clinton, and made sure nothing tha

you heard robby mook right there.lly going to be spending time and money in places like connecticut and oregon? >> we have a poll that shows connecticut is almost even. the point is this. the map has expanded. and mr. mook's comments, he talked about how they're going to compete in pennsylvania. usually after the conventions, pennsylvania is in the democratic column. it's an example of how the map is expanding. pennsylvania, wisconsin, michigan, where working class americans have been promised a better life and have seen their paychecks deteriorate in value. where they, for the first time ever, according to pew poll, working class americans believe their children's future will be worse than theirs. that's an incredible finding. and as a result, in a number of these states, the democratic coalition is not cracking. it's broken. and donald trump is hearing those voices. he's become their champion. you'll see a much wider map. we'll have many more ways to win. it's hillary clinton who will have a reduced option, not us.

you just heard robby mook and the developments of donald trump?s rosen is on the right track when he points out how long we've known her. the first time i met her was 36 years ago. we've seen a lot of her since. we saw a lot of her during her husband's administration. she is a very, very famous and quite well known woman. and if she is now in the predicament she is where people don't like or trust her, i don't think one speech on one night is going to do much about that. indeed, if we look back to last night when barack obama made the strongest case he could for her, that the moment at the end of that, when she came out on the stage with him and they were locked in that evidently warm embrace, may have told us more about how she's going the try to win the election than anything else. she may say things to reach out to trump-type voters tonight. but she's running for the third term of barack obama. if you liked the first two terms of barack obama, you may be inclined to vote for her. if not, you may not. >> earlier today, with politico, robby mook
