robert handa is in sunnyvale with the latest. what are we learning? >> reporter: we are here at the travel lodge motel. public safety officers are investigating. right now, they are inside the facility talking with the missing child's mother and the search is in full swing. law enforcement agencies around the bay area and beyond are looking for jacob who we are told by family members is about to turn 2. he is three feet tall, 25 pounds with red curly hair. jacob was in his mom's 2008 buick enclave when was parked and running at around 4:00 a.m. his mother told police she was unloading groceries when the vehicle was stolen. jacob was in the buick at the time. family members have told us that the mother just didn't want to wake jacob up. jacob was wearing a sweatshirt you see in the photo with white and gray pants. police are now looking for a woman as basically a person of interest. 29-year-old tammy wun. surveillance cameras show her in corridors around the time of the abduction. she's not seen with jacob. investigators have not called her a suspect.
