roberta's in the weather center. >> we've been talking about this since monday. the possibility of severe thunderstorms moving into the bay area, all associated with the tropical moisture. this is video sent to us by a viewer. let's go ahead and take a look at our live high-deaf doppler radar. when you see that blotch of green on your screen, that's light precipitation all the way to the east bay, and that's where we have that potential of fire-weather watch, of dry lightning occurring. in fact, we do have a couple of fires that have now occurred out in the east bay. robert lisles has that information for us. >> reporter: too early to tell what caused the vegetation fires around me, i am standing about a mile and a half north or, in fact, south of the north entrance to mount diablo. the landscape around me has gone back and that's because the fire department did some very quick work. they tell me that the fire here is at least 70% contained, but take a look at this video that our cameras captured just about an hour ago. it rose to a second-alarm fire right around
