>>robin marty good morning. so we saw some rolling blackouts primarily in southern california monterrey in santa cruz, those put on by pg and e which makes sense robin that you mentioned there was a fire up in santa cruz now in the bay area we did see blackouts but those were primarily more than likely caused by the weather because we had like you mentioned strong winds and lightning this morning a lot of rain in the area. so the main concern by pg and e and so right now are the days to come. they're really focused on monday and tuesday of this week. that's because on monday temperatures are going to be increasing yet again. also the second concern like we talked about this morning. we're now in wildfire season making sure one of the fires is not jeopardizing one of their power lines and 3rd because the heat is not letting up we have warmer nights which means there's not a lot of time to cool off for a lot of these power grids and people are using more energy here's what kauai us so had to say about some of the c

thank you so much for joining us on the kron 00:04am morning news this tuesday august 4th marty gonzales and i'm robin winston let's get an update on that tuesday forecast we have dave spahr standing by day marty and robin good morning and good morning, again the typical fog joining us this morning, the shot from u c berkeley we're getting some brightness meaning the sun is here to start to work its magic winds not much going on and want to point that out because later this afternoon sure the winds will build. >>but i'm going to be with us tonight and into tomorrow morning. as we really start to see a little change in the weather cooling us off continues as we get to tomorrow temperatures thus far in the 50's up to the north bay 60's over almost all of the east bay livermore comes at a 5859 meanwhile, san jose and we're trailing this morning and will continue to trail into the afternoon by the way conditions actually bit more mild along the east bay shoreline but inland. they dropped off considerably so the breakdown today puts us at about 6 to 8 by 10 by 3 we're at saying it's going to clear off by 7

robin. all right, thank you for the update reyna marty. >>robin they are saying mask up or pay up san mateo is the latest bay area county to impose fines for violating mask and social distancing rules and this comes nearly a week after the county was added to the state's covid-19 watch list. the first fine is $100 the second is $200. additional fines in the same year will increase to $500. mid is businesses that don't follow the health orders can also be fined. law enforcement along with health and visit building inspectors can issue the citations as well supervisor david canepa says that the ordinance is all about common sense. >>first we'll start with you know talking to a person educating them and most of her time in the cases that we see the people that we've talked to here is just some simple that they forgot to put it on. and in cases where they absolutely refuse we do have options of giving them a citation it's i think if we do this. >>and we're aggressive more aggressive. in terms following this i think we can get off the watch list

marty. >>well in the east bay robin the oakland school district has reached a tentative agreement with the teachers union about distance learning the 2 sides released this joint statement that says quote while we do not always agree on the details ia usd are passionate about serving oakland students and families we've been working diligently to reach an agreement to shape distance learning for all students aea members unquote. now union officials say the issue is not money. the teachers instead worried about time from packing a full semester of instruction into just a few weeks. another issues being able to hire retired teachers and substitutes to coach the coach each. the union asked that no teacher schedules begin before 9 in the morning or after 2.15 in the afternoon because that allows more time for teachers who are also caregivers for parents or children. union members will be voting on this plan in the next few days. >>well to the south bay now the first day of school is in the books for san jose unified school district teachers work from home for the first time, this comes after the district
