we have been fighting with each other throughout the whole '90s we have been fighting because of rodney kingwhatever. you got us together and got republicans, democrats, young, old, how? it's not fair. the rest of us have been trying to get some like we didn't show up to work. how were you able to pull this off? how were you able to get republicans and democrats to work together? guest: i think the way we did it was an there was a lot of people working on this, but the way we did it was it-- it was known that law enforcement was very adamant about getting the kids off the streets and finding a way to get them to the community center to play basketball because they always talk about the danger zone which is three and 6:00 p.m. so it was as much the teachers union. i went to them and said can you endorse this. they looked at our initiative and said it's fantastic. they were in and so this is how we went from community organizations to democrats to republicans, law enforcement and everyone involved and on top of all of that i'm an inclusive person, so i don't ever try to do anything thinking i
