embattled sheriff ross mirkarimi will continue his testimony today. yesterday, he testified for about an hour, and he did admit that he grabbed his wife's arm and bruised it. he also said that he took responsibility for that and that he regretted it. mirkarimi is being questioned by the city attorney's office as he fights to keep his job. the city attorney is trying to prove that the domestic violence altercation on new year's eve with his wife is official misconduct. first focusing on the sheriff's code of conduct that says a felony or misdemeanor conviction reflects poorly on the entire department. san francisco mayor ed lee charged him with official misconduct back in march after he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false imprisonment. the city attorney pressed him about his ability to serve. >> when the sheriff doesn't live up to the department standards, does it reflect poorlyn the department? >> yes, it can. >> reporter: today, mirkarimi's attorneys will try and paint a very different picture when they question him. mirkarimi's wife's attorney atten
