sabina kuriakose joins us live with the latest on the investigation, hi, sabina. >> reporter: hi, lauren, no children tie say this is every parent's worse nightmare. this child was snatched feet from her own stoop. so neighbors of course want answers, as police now led on that they may have some new leads. so about 200 people came to john dickinson high school last night for an update on this case. new castle county police say they've been working around the clock to find this man who snatched a four year old off the street in broad daylight last thursday, then sexually assaulted her before dumping her in nearby car half clothed. police were telling the worried crowd last night they may have new clues, including surveillance video may have picked up parts of the attack. but their technicians are still ring viewing all of that video, will take some time, and police remain tight-lipped on the rest of the investigation. and at the same time, police are also searching for a man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted two adult women recently, it is all has neighbors worried as you can imagine.

sabina kariakose joins us with the story, sabina? >> reporter: this is tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage. it's the upper more land swim club. most members are families in the area. let's go to video that we got for you of the damage. you're looking at the guard office. it is covered in foam from fire extinguishes at the vandals sprayed all over the place. they also tried to break into a safe. they spray painted obscene words and pictures and they also hit the club's snack room where they prepare all of the meals. they destroyed thousands of dollars in heavy equipment including the soda machine, the ice machine, they also smashed windows. we spoke to the club of president about the damage and how it was discovered. here's what he told us. >> when i opened the first door, i opened the guard's office. i was just like wow, we started work in there and repaint everything and get it done. i saw things broken and i said this is pretty bad. then he said wait till you come around to the snack bar. when i saw that, the equipment and

fox 29's sabina kuriakose joining us live from camden, with more, sabina? >> reporter: hey, we just got back from a ride along with camden county police when they hit the road to take a look for any distracted drivers on the road. now, they say, this is the first of its kinds department-wide initiative to crackdown on distracted drivers. officers like ten to the kind of dui checkpoints, that we often see. now, camden county police call it a quality of life concern. and they say, crack-downs like this, three week state-wide enforcement effort, are important to keep drivers focused, on staying off their phones. >> people will become jaded and numb to their every day practices and habits. you have to realize that this is a city, and we have children, and pedestrians who are out playing and walking, and you're driving a vehicle that is weighing thousands of pounds. so, once you're distracted, now, you're no longer in proper control of that vehicle. >> and that's exactly why officers want to make sure safety is the top priority for drivers when they hit the road

sabina kuriakose joins us live from the scene. sabina? >> reporter: iain, homicide detectives had been back out canvassing the neighborhood talking to eyewitnesses trying to figure out exactly what happened. now, we're told that the driver, the victim here was sitting at this traffic light along somerdale avenue when somebody pulled up alongside him, rolled down the window and opened fire. that suspect took off down the boulevard. but the victim crossed six lanes of traffic. then ended up crashing into the fence on the other side. let's go to video that we got for you at the scene just after all of this happened around 6:00 this morning. we're told the victim was a 39-year-old man. he was hit by gunshots several times in his head. and his neck. medics and police found him at the scene, they pronounced him dead a short time later. police have no motive and no suspects, in this sunday morning murder, we spoke with an eyewitness who gave us his account of what he saw and heard. he did not want to be identified but he described to us what hap
