why do we let sacramento tell us how to run our city? we don't. it's important you send that message. i know your planning director will soon be moving onto other fields. and i wish you good luck. thank you for quite a few years of service. i didn't think anybody would break the record but you did in terms of years of service. but please consider what happens to people who call themselves -- it's not their backyard. it's not their backyard. they use their own possessive adjective. other people live there and there was a quality of life. that quality of life and in a testy tess -- necessity to serve. the western side of the city should not be raped in order to somehow or other accommodate sort of an ideology that says those folks aren't doing their fair share. i've been involved for years in the eastern neighborhood. supervisor peskin is slugging it out. it was important to have the kind of balance we have over there. and as a result the idea of housing options is very important for one particular piece of the demographic picture i want to speak to
