sal's been covering a problem on the bay bridge, a fatal accident in the city. how's it look, sal? >>> things are looking better on the bay bridge at least, pam and dave. that accident is clear. and as we look at the toll plaza it's still very light. so the crash which at one point was blocking two lanes was quickly removed after the authorities discovered it was noninjury accident. they made everyone essentially drive off the bridge and handle the paperwork off the bridge which has really helped us out. moving along and taking a look at 880 north and southbound. this traffic looks good. i want to show you some pictures of this crash at geary that happened about a couple hoursing a here. this accident was a t-bone accident and the 38 and 33 buses will have to be rerouted as the investigation continues as they have not even removed the body yet. it is going to take a while again corner at geary. good area to avoid. and really one of san francisco's busiest streets. we'll let you know when it reopens. we'll be telling you about it often and you might have to think about another way,

let's go back to the desk. >>> thank you, sal. an east bay community is in mourning following the death of two teenage boys. ktvu allie rasmus joins us with we tails of a rafting trip that ended in tragedy. >> reporter: right now we are on treat boulevard and walnut creek. this is where the rafting trip began. we can't really see it very clearly from where we are because it's dark outside and there is a lot of foilage covering the creek. authorities say the two teens started their rafting trip a mile upstream. they entered the water at the creek near murwood elementary school. at that site there were flowers left behind in memory of 16- year-old matthew miller and 17- year-old gavin powell. now they set out on saturday afternoon in what authorities say was a two person inflatable raft. sheriffs deputies say they were wearing helmets but not life preservers. by midnight on sunday the boys parents reported them missing. early sunday morning is when search crews fanned out along the trail. their bodies were discovered later that afte

thank you, sal. in southern santa clara county police in morgan hill are warning everyone to be especially careful following a rash of burglaries. ktvu's live now to tell us homes, businesses and cars are all being targeted: good morning, christian. >> reporter: good morning. i called morgan hill police dispatch about ten minutes ago and heard there have not been reports of burglaries overnight. police dispathy spoke with did confirm this is the time calls start rolling in. a car in the parking lot and they say oftentimes those cars are prime targets especially if they're left out overnight, residents get up for work in the morning, get ready to go to work and discover the breakin. the rash of burglaries started up about six months ago. in that time there have been more than 175 reported burglaries. more than 100 of those were car burglaries. at the same time 41 cars have been reported stolen. most of those car burglaries happened overnight between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. and that also c

i want to go to sal to check on the roads. we have been talking about the wet roads showing pretty bad areas. >> that is right. remember claudine showed us the big puddle on northbound 101. they are trying to clear that drain here. northbound highway 1 which is north of mccarthur tunnel. they are trying to clear the drain. they are letting some cars through. they are doing intermutant closures here as the crews find a drain. now the crews are there they are driving through slowly. this is north of the mccarthur tunnel. if wow are driving on 19th -- if you are driving on 19th avenue you will go through here trying to get on to the golden gate and getting into marin. a lot of people do this. so you can expect some delays on park getting up to the golden gate because now it's down to single file traffic. i think the traffic may be backed up all the way through that tunnel since we are down to that one lane. maybe not. let's hope this crew can get rid of this water there. it's pretty deep water. our crew got splashed pretty well.

. >>> thank you, sal. pg&e is hinting it may ask its customers to pick up part of the tab for the pipeline explosion. jade hernandez joins us from san bruno with that huge bill that is accumulating and what customers may be asked to pay for. >> reporter: we don't know how much pg&e would have customers pay out of pocket for their experiences. we do know pg&e is talking about customers helping to pick up the tab. pg&e is facing a whopping $363 million tab. wall street analysts heard pg&e would be covered by the companies insurance. they ask state regulators to pass along the san bruno related costs to customers. customers all over. funding is an issue. the type of the pipeline test andspections were different. and therefore might be more costly. pg&e says it wants to work with regulators on funding issues. the company expects to spend twice the amount on tests, record searches and other activities related to the san bruno blast. the cost expected this year alone between $200 and $300 million. regulators hav
