the salvation army does have across puerto rico seven locations already stocked and staffed, ready to go. st. thomas we have a team in place they are at locations with the impact from hurricane irma and will be transitioning to begin providing resources they are. st. croix in st. john, things are in place. cheryl: without power, are you able to communicate with anyone in puerto rico? >> so, not just the issue of there being no power. most places, the telephone networks are down. the internet is obviously down. a lot of our communications have either been through text messaging or using part of the salvation army has ham radio operator volunteers that we can utilize to communicate with the people on the island. communications has been a challenge, but we been able to make contact with all of our staff. lauren: including the southeastern part of the country. i say that because they have a direct hit and it's difficult to get direct contact with the southeast. >> yes, when utilizing amateur radio or ham radio, they are able to somehow pull for battery-operated systems, stuff like that. w
