tonight, carlos tapia, the president of san mateo county deputy sheriffs association, was listening and hoping to get support from san carlos city. obviously, ladoris cordell report. had a lot of stuff in there. that's gross. and it's stuff that we don't want to we can't have a person like that in office. the city of san carlos has had a partnership with the sheriff's office since 2010. so council members say it was important to include this on the agenda tonight. for me, i've seen enough. i believe it is time for her to at least acknowledge the damage that is being done to the county in terms of public safety, public trust and confidence, and the county's treasury and resign immediately. i'm also concerned about the well-being of those working for our sheriff's office, and i do think that change is needed. we reached out to sheriff corpus office for a response to this vote tonight. we did not hear back, but today the sheriff did launch a new community newsletter, and it's saying transparency and information sharing are essential pieces for building trust within the community in san carlos. i'm jocelyn moran, nbc, bay area news.

san francisco to south city, we're seeing some moderate to even heavy rain down the peninsula into san mateo, belmont, san carloscounty road in belmont and down towards the south bay and the santa cruz mountains. it is pouring right now all across this region. as we get you into the south bay around 87, santa clara, benton street, getting some heavy rain. so in the last 24 hours, we've seen quite a bit of rain, one to over three inches. but just today an inch and three quarters in san francisco. you can see why there have been so many problems. we have seen quite a bit of rain flash flood warning going until 6 p.m. just a reminder, in the east bay, they've already seen flooding and that will continue as that water runs off. so looking at live doppler seven, this atmospheric river is just aimed right at us. it's a strong event. so we're going to continue to see some action the next couple of hours. there have been some lightning strikes off the northern california coast. it is a level three, not a two. sorry about that. let's take a look at a live picture from our bay bridge camera. you can see the raindrops on t

then it's more mid 40s as you head towards foster city, san carlos, half moon bay, 45, pacifica at 48 degrees 18 in truckee, 21 south lake tahoe, reno 29, mammoth, also at 29 and snow is on the way for them. they've had a little bit. they'll get more out of this next system. so a lot of high clouds in advance of that system, which is going to take a while to get here, but it has pretty good support here as it swings in. now, i'm not sure i buy all these projections. this is an in-house forecast model that i use for some here. i mean it's kind of trimmed back a little bit on some, but still i think a half inch russian river marin county, mount tamalpais, certainly in the realm of possibility here. so some filtered sun this morning, then increasing clouds throughout the day. that low will get here by this evening for the north and then overnight into the south bay. snow looks pretty good here, at least around lake level 3 to 5 and then higher elevations. i would think 5 to 8 is possible here. snow level always tricky here. we'll see. around 6000 could go down lower than that though. lat

first, san carlos leaders unanimously approved a no confidence ordinance calling for sheriff cristina corpus to be removed from her position. the cityontrol. after a scathing independent report suggesting incidents of retaliation and harassment. it also suggests an inappropriate relationship involving the sheriff and her then chief of staff. corpus denies all allegations and says she has no plans to step down. a federal court is weighing an emergency appeal surrounding a transgender volleyball player at san jose state university. this comes after a ruling saying that all players are allowed on the women's team. the first suit argued their rights were being violated. this was by allowing trans athletes to play for the women's team. a judge in this case says that the mountain west conference policy clearly allows trans athletes to compete. csu released a statement supporting the decision. the bay area news group reports pg&e is seeking another rate hike as soon as the start of next year. utility says the money is needed to meet added demand for new housing and development projects. if regulators approve the plans, customers would see
