san diego county.one person died in a car crash wednesday trying to escape the largest fire in ventura county.gov. jerry brown devastated neighborhoods on saturday.the fire also is burning toward a endangered condors in los padrestional forest.óóó (justine) san diego firefighters were not just out battling the lilac fire today... they had to help stop a house fire that started when a small plane crashed into the home... killing its two passengers, and a pet. authorities say the plane had just taken off from an airport a half a mile away. the pilot tried to land in a field behind the home... but the plane skidded through the field... and crashed into the home... sparking the fire. authorities say the two occupants of the plane were taken to the hospital where they died. no one was in to home at the time of the crash... but according to neighbors the family dog was killed.
