temperatures around the bay in the 60s in san francisco and oakland while other inland parts of the bay area, san jose and santa rosa, only in the 70s at the moment. the fog is going to start to spread out as we head through the rest of tonight. that haze in the east bay, fog over san francisco and along the coast. the fog is going to spread out and make a good push into the inland valleys by early tomorrow morning. the futurecast models are showing that, overcoming some of the terrain obstacle. temperatures warm up from a pretty normal start. temperatures for the north bay some of the coolest on the map, which is normal this time of year. low 50s for santa rosa and petaluma. temperatures not quite as cool but comfortable around the bay, mostly in the 50s. the warmest spots around or just above 60 degrees. not a whole lot of variation to our forecast. low temperatures early tomorrow morning. the warmest locations are literally a degree above 60. there's more variation to our daytime highs for tomorrow. into the 80s in san jose. mid 90s for morgan hill. east of the oakland hill, at least

brentwood, close to 100 degrees in fairfield and concord while temperatures around the bay, 70s for san francisco and oakland, 80s in fremont, near 90 degrees down the peninsula in redwood city. along the coast, no worries, staying in the 60s. temperatures for the north bay also get up to a mix of a few upper 80s and a lot of low 90s and then our temperatures start to back down as we hit the end of the workweek. by thursday and friday we're back to near normal temperatures, a similar pattern heading into labor day weekend. as we look at the eight to 14-day outlook from the climate prediction center, significant signal towards warmer than average temperatures, not just for the bay area, not just for california, but for most of the western u.s. enjoy that return to near normal temperatures over the holiday weekend because it looks like it won't last long. let's check out the seven-day forecast. we'll start inland where temperatures peak tomorrow near 100 degrees, back down about 3 or 4 degrees wednesday, another 3 or 4 degrees by thursday and puts us back to pretty much what's normal for this time of year. sat

bay and the coast are about 2 to 4 degrees cooler than they were this time last night. so let's take a closer look. right now in san francisco, 61 degrees, we have mid 60s at oakland redwood city, 61 at half moon bay. here's a view from mount tam. look at this. just a thin little sliver of some clouds pushing out over the bay. so a nice clear late night view from mount tam looking out over the bay. 62 degrees and santa rosa right now. and in napa, petaluma 59. and we have low to mid 60s at fairfield, concord and livermore. moving along, we'll take a look at our forecast headlines overnight. we'll see increasing clouds going into the early morning hours with some spotty drizzle. mainly mainly offshore though not not onshore. and then tomorrow bright and breezy as we start to get a little bit sunnier, a little bit drier and going into early next week it will be sunny or still with a brief warm up coming our way on monday and tuesday. but for tonight, during the overnight hours, see these little patches of drizzle offshore? that pattern will continue. some of it may work its way onshore. actually but most locations will be dry on land during the overnight hours. and
