my father-in-law was born in san francisco, my husband was born in san francisco, my children are now 22 and 24, and they were born and raised in san francisco and they have lived in that home in that neighborhood now their entire lives. part of the reason we have stayed there is because of the open space, because of the feel of the neighborhood and that backspace. now to start allowing one more massive big black box to be in our neighborhood would only contribute to the destruction of the feel of that entire neighborhood. that is not why we live there. that is not why we have stay there had and i don't believe that the people who are building this will be living there. so this is not their neighborhood, this is not their care or their heart where they are going to stay and i ask that you please exercise discretion and allow us to keep our neighborhood and keep the feel you have already seen the pictures, but i will put it one more time. when we bought our house, this big, black box did not exist and it this is what we look at outside of our backyard everyday and don't let this contin

san franciscan born resident, married, two children. i am in favor of this project. when my parents immigrated from mexico, this was the american dream. we settled in san francisco after traveling to the east coast. we came here and loved it and stayed here and my parents have raised six children in san francisco. we are educated in san francisco and played in all the park new york stock exchange in san francisco. as i entered the city, all i have seen is housing and i think the housing take more precedent on the agenda for this city. i'm being priced out of san francisco. a bmr is a possibility for me to stay stay , work and live in the city. it's important for the housing to be there for us to live and to thrive. i think the buildings could be on the hook for $140,000 in property taxes and a sizeable donation to the parks department. i don't see any -- just following the logic of this project, it's better than most that i have seen out there, and thank you for your time. >> thank you. >> next speaker. >> commissioners, my name is charles turner, native san franciscan, i am a realtor in san francisco of 35 years and a property owner who has rented to primarily

the childrens hospital of san francisco will offer all pediatric specialties and a roof top hella pad and a pediatric emergency department and we expect it to be 30 visits a day and many by ambulance. [inaudible] at the new childrens hospital of san francisco will be approximately between 2600 to 27000 babies. it's important to us that the patients, faculty and staff. >> >> have 24/7 daily access not only to the emergency room but other facilities as well. we look forward to continuing the dialogue with the warriors and -- [inaudible] access to our facilities is assured. we are an open campus and [inaudible] act responsibly and seek assurances like other neighbors that security and safety are assured. the police department and medical center security staff will coordinate with the san francisco police department. we also understand there should be an overlap between the san francisco giants and the golden state warriors and concerns and traffic impacts in the area when the giants are playing and other concerts are -- [inaudible] we have at the advisory meetings but we request to you -

we have more children now in san francisco than we have had for a long time and our public schools are finally growing in terms of their enrollment. there is incredible energy and enthusiasm in san francisco right now it is a great time for this city and these exciting times and this growth of course bring a lot of challenges and i know we have a tendency to really as we should to focus on those challenges because they are very very real challenges. we have so many challenges around housing and housing affordable and the fact that there are just not being evicted but the fact that some people are living in absolute terror that if they lose their apartment they're going to have to leave this city. just the congestion and crowding on muni and our streets and that our systems really aren't equipped to deal with the growth we have in this city. we don't have enough police officers. we're working really hard to fix that. we have a lot of challenges but in focusing on those challenges let's not forget how many amazing things are happening in this city. this is the best city in the world. the

whatever ribbon color it is on willie brown because any time we build a new school for the children of san francisco it is celebration regardless of whatever district you live in. thank you. >> commissioner wynns. >> i just wanted to say that we still need to be doing outreach to students because we know that we don't -- i mean the fact we have so many first choices is fantastic. that is something that i'm going to guess no school in the southeast part of school can say forever since we've had these choices and that is testament to everybody's work, notably yours. but, you know, just like any college or anybody else, you -- i always hated this term, but there's a yield and you know, we're pretty close to the number, so we're going to need people. we're going to need people and be so happy to have people clamoring to get in but there are some kids who get in who are not going to come so we still have to do outreach and we particularly have to do it because one of our issues is that this is a neighborhood where there's a high percentage of people who don't participate in the first round. so we still n

san francisco on 21 percent of 3 bedrooms or more and there are wears building a tiny number of new families in san francisco there's a demographic of - for all ages business and professional people with children who are making decisions everyday i how to raise their families in san francisco or move to the peninsula or the east bay and oftentimes one of the big factors in addition to costs is what's available and oftentimes the older homes need a lot of work and that's it there's another huge price to bring up of them up to the standards for a family today and i see this in my generation and my children's generation so are becoming larger for homes because we have multi generational families we hear about a lot of them that work from within theory homes or at least part of the time require a home office in a separate room to keep their business affairs operate separate in the rest of the family mr. jean said inaccurately i didn't say people need to have large homes i said in you choose to have one it's expensive i'm sorry. it's this way we have a desirable place if anything not building homes of all size even those that are larger exacerbates those because those people that point homes 2 thou

san francisco. and including over 9,000 children under the age of 18. and enrollment has grown by 75 percent, compared to just a year ago. and another 5,000 patients in the healthy san francisco continues to have access to it as well. it provides, specialty and emergency, and inpatient, hospital care with both medical and managed care and healthy san francisco patients also provides, world class, and it provides the labor and services with over 500 newborn babies each year and close to 100 patients received the preeye surgery, and they are helping them to eliminate infection business offering free screenings and last but not least, we are partnering with the child development center in ucberkeley on a joint program. this new program is unique and it is accommodations for both english and chinese speaking patients. it has been a great neighborhood and present to the low income and under served patient population and we look forward to working with them in the future. >> thank you. >> hello, my name is sarah and i am a registered nurse, and i am also a san
