it took a chinese-american gentleman born in san francisco chinatown and his community and the organization also known as the chinese six companies of the chinese consolidated benevolent association. if can get that out to bring community involvement and funds to have the supreme court first articulate the term birthright citizenship and it reminds me that we always have to be vigilant and all of our rights we can't take it for granted. i think i speak for member carry on when we were in law school and i see ronnie saying here general counsel for the sheriff's office i remember my constitutional law professor always say anytime something was going up to the supreme court in reviewing rights that rights had always been expanded. this is the first time in our lifetime, my lifetime that the rights have been taken away. so i just want to remind people that we are here and we are a sanctuary city and everyone is safer with a sanctuary city. that means irrespective of someone's status they can report if they are a victim of crime, if they've witnessed a crime. so we are. let me repeat that we are

it took a chinese-american gentleman born in san francisco chinatown and his community and the organization also known as the chinese six companies of the chinese consolidated benevolent association. if can get that out to bring community involvement and funds to have the supreme court first articulate the term birthright citizenship and it reminds me that we always have to be vigilant and all of our rights we can't take it for granted. i think i speak for member carry on when we were in law school and i see ronnie saying here general counsel for the sheriff's office i remember my constitutional law professor always say anytime something was going up to the supreme court in reviewing rights that rights had always been expanded. this is the first time in our lifetime, my lifetimehat the rights haveeen taken away. so i just want to remind people that we are here and we are a sanctuary city and everyone is safer with a sanctuary city. that means irrespective of someone's status they can report if they are a victim of crime, if they've witnessed a crime. so we are. let me repeat that we are all

san francisco government television >> i am iris long. we are a family business that started in san francisco chinatown by my parents who started the business in the mid 1980s. today we follow the same footsteps of my parents. we source the teas by the harvest season and style of crafting and the specific variety. we specialize in premium tea. today i still visit many of the farms we work with multigenerational farms that produce premium teas with its own natural flavors. it is very much like grapes for wine. what we do is more specialized, but it is more natural. growing up in san francisco i used to come and help my parents after school whether in middle school or high school and throughout college. i went to san francisco state university. i did stay home and i helped my parents work throughout the summers to learn what it is that makes our community so special. after graduating i worked for an investment bank in hong kong for a few years before returning when my dad said he was retiring. he passed away a few years ago. after taking over the business we made this a little more accessible for visitors as well as residents of san francisco

chinatown. yes, that's right, here's nbc bay area's christie smith. skies were clear in san francisco's sunset neighborhood today for a celebration. today we are celebrating the lunar new year in the sunset. so we have performances. we are lucky to be at the outer sunset farmers market so folks can come by and buy their groceries and stuff for the week, but also come by and see some performances have a lot of kids activities. lily wong is director of the sunset chinese cultural district, which is behind the sunset lunar new year festival. i think it's very important for us to just celebrate our culture, celebrate our history and the diversity that we find in san francisco. organizers say they've been putting this on for the last couple of years, and it does keep getting bigger. neighbors we spoke with say they like that. it's so close and easy to get to. we're all involved and all together, so it's fun. yeah. there were speakers today, including mayor daniel lurie, who also reminded people about the exciting week ahead. it is going to be an incredible week in san francisco with the endi
